CYTAT DNIA
Carlos Fuentes (1928-2012), Contra Bush

10.06.2011 |
Another Scandinavian festival of Political Critique. This time we will be exploring Norway. From 13th to 26th of June we warmly invite for concerts, debates, lectures, meetings with visual art and theatre in Gdansk.
NORWAY Fest is a series of cultural events, which join music, literature, theater, film, philosophy and politics. There will be concerts connected with the presentation of visual arts, art openings, films screenings, debates, lectures, readings and theatrical workshops. The festival will be accompanied by the premiere of the book Norway. Not-touristic Guidebook and the debates with Norwegian intellectuals and Maja Ratkje`s concert at New Brave World in Warsaw on 14th of June. Each day from 13th to 26th of June in Gdansk we will be presenting the pieces of “the best country in the world”. Via culture we want to show Norway, which has the highest GDP per capita, the highest quality of life in the world and over 75% of happy citizens. Plus good schools, well-kept and highly subsidized culture, beautiful fiords and clean air.
It turns out that Norwegian culture is not only about trolls, Vikings, black metal and Ibsen.
